This course surveys all of the Old Testament books with an emphasis on authorship, cultural and historical background, literary structure, and major themes. Attention is given to the general flow of Old Testament history. (3 Units)

The Wesleyan Experience at Biblical Life Institute is a foundational study of basic Christian spiritual practice in light of our Wesleyan heritage. More than just a study, however, the program is designed so that students also experience the practices of Christianity and develop a personal approach to living the Christian life.
The Experience in the fall satisfies the coursework for Hermeneutics, Worship, and the Life and Theology of John Wesley. (8 Units)
NT415 – NEW TESTAMENT READINGS: The Gospel of Mark (Jeremy Andrews)

This course is a study of the Gospel of Mark with an emphasis on learning the major locations, people, themes, and events surrounding Jesus that are contained in the Gospel. Attention will be given to authorship, date, occasion, historical setting, and Jesus' teaching style and content in the Gospel of Mark. (3 Units)
NT240 – NEW TESTAMENT READINGS: The Book of Revelation (Dr. Ricketts)

This course will discuss the dating, authorship, and occasion of Revelation and look at the various schools of interpretation with a focus on working through the text itself. (3 Units)
